Wesley Linton
![Picture](/uploads/1/6/0/9/16095112/764277646.jpg)
Age: 23
Birthland: Bristol, England
Species: Human
Appearance: Wesley stands at 6'1" with a lean frame. He has a messy head of dark curls and brown eyes which accentuates his young, boyish charm.
Affiliation: Junior Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. (or whatever we're going with for our roleplay)
Side: Good
Personality: Wesley is what the Greek might call a mix of melancholic and choleric personality. He is a quiet young man with plenty on his mind and a compassionate disposition. He follows orders to the T, even if he may not always agree with their consequences, and generally sticks to the book during operations. Most may believe he never speaks at all, but he prefers only to speak when spoken to unless stating an opinion.
Likes/Dislikes: Wes enjoys reading rather controversial novels in his spare time and the works of Jack London especially; when he gets frustrated Wesley tends to vent aloud in his room and pace the floor until the carpet is worn out, and even when he is calm he enjoys the tedious nature of pacing to help empty his mind of whatever is jumbled up inside. Wesley happens to despise rain in spite of his homeland and openly mopes about whenever it is raining outside.
Weapons: Wesley typically carries a handgun and a pocket knife with him.
Powers: N/A
Talents: Wesley can wield just about any weapon given to him with an above average sense of what he's doing with it, but rifles are his specialty. Put a sniper or assault rifle in his hands and you could kiss the world goodbye.
Weaknesses: Normal human limitations.
History: Wesley was born in Bristol, England to Lysander and Maria Linton, an average family in all aspects. He grew up with a little to no worries and plenty to be thankful for. But when their home was broken into one year and his mother was held hostage, Wesley was changed forever.
Wes felt like he needed to make up for the event - in which he had to watch as police negotiated carefully for Maria's freedom - and dedicated his life to joining the police force. He took karate classes and practiced with his father at a local shooting range every weekend.
When his little sister, Lyra, came into their lives he worked even harder to be able to protect his family. When he was seventeen he came home from school to find his mother being carried away screaming into a van. But when he ran to save her Lysander took him into the house to explain what was really happening.
Maria was going away for treatment and they'd have to visit her in a special hospital. Lyra was distraught but Wesley realized then that the signs he'd noticed - the outbursts at menial accidents, her breakdowns whenever she was forced to do something - were signs of her deteriorating mental health. He accepted her fate but made time to visit when he could.
It wasn't until he was twenty years old and visiting a museum with his sister, then seven years, that S.H.I.E.L.D. took interest in him. An hour into their visit at the museum the building was on lock down and the visitors inside were yelled at to back into a corner. With quick wit and silent maneuvering Wesley managed to get away and dispatch each of the assailants. He was honored on the local news and was taking Lyra home when he was approached by an agent wanting to ask a few innocent questions. He inquired whether Wesley had noticed anything odd about the men and Wes noted that the final assailant had started glowing just before he took him down from behind. The agent promised to explain in time and let him know they would be in touch the next day.
Miscellaneous: Wesley is actually quite the talker once the ball gets rolling and he's very open about most of his life and opinions.
